This bus is for sale.

It runs like an electric diesel locomotive, which is fantastic. My wife and I toured the southwest in it and lived in it for months, but before our baby was born we parked the bus and rented an apartment. We are selling the Flx (1964 Flxible) because we do not anticipate traveling much for the next few years.

Whole Bus

This bus is awesome. I have a lot of fond memories from our time on this silver rocket. Yes, indeed. If you are looking for a used bus for sale, you found a good one.

This Flx was originally bought new to make the daily runs between Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. It did that for years, and was eventually sold to a broker who parked it in his used bus for sale parking lot in Nevada. It sat there for a while doing nothing, until he decided to upgrade the six cylinder GM (Detroit diesel) to a V8 Detroit, which is the engine in it now.

After that engine swap, a carpenter from Ruidoso New Mexico bought it. Ray lived in it for 16 years, and so dod his wife after she married him. He refurbished the interior, turning itr from a passenger bus into a very comfortable motor home. He is a professional carpenter and did an excellent job.

Kitchen To Front Door

The exterior needs updating. I intend to paint the exterior (and raise the price) as well as other things that I want to see on this Flx. Its a very strong, solid machine, as you can imagine. The frame is steel, and so are the sides. Security is assured in this bus, because there is no way to break into it if its locked from inside. Security is more important when traveling, and sleeping in this bus is very, very comfortable.

The bedroom has two large closets and a queen-sized bed, plus two large tinted windows and its own A/C.

From Bedroom

The bathroom has a full-sized illuminated tub and shower, with tiled walls, carpet, regular flush toilet and a well-lit lavatory.

There is a four-burner gas stove and oven in the kitchen, water purifier, large and deep stainless steel sink, plenty of cabinet space and embossed sheet tin (floral pattern) along the wall behind the stove.

Kitchen Sink Area

This Flx has a huge propane tank below the deck, and magnificent storage capacity, too. It has both electric and gas water heating, electric water pumps and other goodies that make it livable on the road or parked in an RV park.

Please give me a call if you want to talk about this bus. RV’s are an awesome, really peaceful way to live, and refurbished highway buses are the best RV’s. They are the best because they are engineered from the drawing board to last for a million miles, to be reliable and to be secure in a crash. Safety is very important when you are driving an RV, and this Flx is one of the best choices you can make where safety is concerned. It is a strong box on wheels.

Through Windshield

That’s about it. The suspension deserves mention, because it is the best suspension on the road. Its expensive to manufacture, and is no longer made because of the cost, but this bus very stable on the road. It does not rock fore to aft like an RV, and the back end remains stable and level on the highway, unlike other large, rear-engined vehicles which bounce up and down from the pendulous momentum of the engine.

Currently $9,000 USD or best offer. Price will rise as I make improvements on the bus. I intent to paint the exterior, install new counter/drawers/stove/convection oven, modify the general lounging quarters and maybe have some fun in the drivers cockpit area.

Repairs that should be made: The windshield has a crack in it.  The tires have great tread, but they might need replacing.  Maybe not.  The battery does need replacement.  Its a used bus, after all.

Each upgrade will increase the final sales price of this wonderful Flxible bus. I expect to offer it for $20,000 USD when all modifications are completed.
